"There are slight changes in specification for example the gearbox but in reality the Word sport is pretty much all."

Hm, not really; they use different engines.

There is no such thing as a "325ise". There are 3 engines used in e30's; the 2.5L i I6, the 2.7e I6 (or ete, meaning economy), and the 1.8L I4. The "i" stands for fuel injected.

325is stands for 3 series, 2.5L, i, sport. The "325i sport" you referred to is called a 325is.

325i is the same car without the sports package.

The 325 or 325e are the same car, with the 2.7L eta engine. Not sure why they didn't call it a 327e.

The 318i/318is use the 1.8L 4cyl engine.

I hope that helped.
