To call a North American toll-free number from outside North America (USA, Canada, etc.), you can try dialing it as if it were a normal geographic number: i.e., dial your international access prefix (most commonly '00', but many countries use other prefixes) followed by country code 1 and the toll-free number. If the call goes through, you will probably pay normal international toll charges. If the call does not go through, your best bet is to look on the web for a normal geographic number.

Toll-free codes in North America are 800, 888, 877, 866, and 855, with 844, 833, and 822 reserved for future use.
