This sounds like a homework question. Trust me, I hate fractions too. 5% is 5/100, then you have to divide the 5 by 5 (1... duh) and the one hundred by 5 as well to make the fraction even. 20. So 5% in it's simplest form (meaning the fraction can't be divided anymore) is 1/20.
