How do you properly use a presta valve pump?

To properly use a presta valve pump, first unscrew the top cap of the valve. Then, press the pump head onto the valve firmly. Pump air into the tire until it reaches the desired pressure. Finally, remove the pump head and screw the top cap back onto the valve.
