Is there a difference between freemason and mason?

A Christian might be a Freemason, but a Freemason is not necessarily a Christian. Most Masonic Grand Jurisdictions require only a belief in a Supreme Being, although in a minority of jurisdictions (considered "irregular" by the majority) even this is not required.
