How fast is teleportation and can it be achieved in real life?

Teleportation, the instantaneous transportation of an object or person from one location to another, is currently not possible in real life. While teleportation has been depicted in Science Fiction as happening instantaneously, there is no scientific evidence or technology that supports its existence or feasibility at this time.
