What happens if a pga player doesn't make the top 125 on the money list?

They have provisonal status and are not guaranteed a spot in any tournament. They have to hope someone decides not to attend a tournament.Starting in 2013, players ranked 125 - 150 will compete with players ranked in the top 25 from the Web.com tour to be granted provisional status on the PGA Tour. Provisional status grants the player the opportunity to play if the field needs to fill out the roster. They can also participate in Monday qualifying and apply for sponsor exemptions.
