Lammergeyers, also known as bearded vultures, primarily inhabit mountainous regions, particularly in the Alps, Himalayas, and the Caucasus. They prefer high-altitude environments, often nesting on cliffs and rocky terrains. These birds are also found in parts of Africa, particularly in the Ethiopian Highlands and the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa. Their range can extend to various mountainous areas across Europe and Asia, depending on food availability and habitat.
