What did Reagan's foreign policy call for about communism?

He wanted to roll it back, which was a step forward from his predecessors, who had focussed on containing communism. He called the Soviet Union an "Evil Empire" and once told the British Parliament that Communism would end up "on the ash heap of history". He supported freedom fighters and protestors who were fighting against Communism.

By this time, the Soviet Union was in decline and would eventually collapse a few years after Reagan left office.
