IAS Eligibility Criteria
This examination was conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year and the examination was conducted into 3 Stages - Preliminary Examination, Main Examination & Interview.
1) You must have graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
2) Pursuing final year may also apply for this examination.
2) Your age should be between 21 to 30 (General Category).
3) Upper age exemption is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved category candidates.
i) For SC/ST Candidates; applicable for 5 Year relaxation.
ii) For OBC Candidates; applicable for 3 year relaxation.
4) How many attempts do u get in IAS examination?

i) General category candidates get only 4 attempts to crack this exam.
ii) OBC category candidates get 7 attempts to crack this exam.
iii) SC/ST category candidates get unlimited attempts to be an IAS.
5) The Notification of IAS examination was Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) website in the Month of February every year and candidates may apply for this examination Online OR Offline. If you are interested to apply offline then please obtained the application form directly form the post offices in India.
