As of October 22, 2014, the Coconino County Clerk says that at least one same-sex couple has been issued a marriage license, but there has been no separate tally of same-sex marriage licenses.

No same-sex couples have legally married in Coconino county because same-sex marriage is prohibited by an amendment to the Arizona State Constitution. There are currently two separate lawsuits challenging that ban filed in the US District Court: one on January 6, 2014 and the other on March 13, 2014. In the meantime six cities and towns offer civil unions and four cities and one county (Pima County) offer domestic partnerships which provide limited rights to same-sex couples.
