Where in Carolina did the cherkee Indians live?

The Cherokee Indians primarily inhabited the western part of North Carolina, particularly in the Appalachian Mountains and the surrounding areas. Their territory extended into parts of what is now eastern Tennessee and northern Georgia. The region was rich in Natural Resources, which supported their agricultural and hunting practices. Today, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is located in the Qualla Boundary in North Carolina.
