Where was the country Pythagoras lived in?

Pythagoras lived in ancient Greece, specifically on the island of Samos. He was born around 570 BCE and is best known for his contributions to mathematics, particularly in relation to the Pythagorean theorem. Pythagoras later settled in Crotona, a Greek colony in southern Italy, where he founded a philosophical school.
