When you look through blue sunglasses, the lenses filter out all colors except blue light, allowing only that wavelength to pass through. As a result, other colors, which are combinations of different wavelengths, are diminished or blocked, making everything appear blue. This effect occurs because our eyes perceive color based on the wavelengths of light that reach them, so when only blue light is present, the brain interprets the scene predominantly in shades of blue.
