Answer :While most will answer Pete Maravich the correct answer is....John Pierce.... the all-time leading scorer in the history of college basketball, scoring 4,230 points from 1990 to 1994. He played for Lipscomb University which at the time was an NAIA school.The second leading scorer is actually Phillip Hutcheson who proceeded Pierce as Lipscomb's center from 1987-1990. He scored 4,106 points during his career.Travis Grant from Kentucky State University is the NCAA all-time leading scorer (4,045). He played 1969-1972 and was also the all-time leader scorer in NAIA history. He was also the first to score 4,000 points in a career and is inducted into the Kentucky Athletic, National Collegiate Basketball, and NAIA Halls-of-Fame. He was a perimeter shooter who averaged 63% from the field for a career, including 70% his sophomore year and played before the 3-point line was instituted in college basketball.
