What would happen if the rain forest are burned?

therainforest is the one of the most biodiverse systems, so the result would be a siginifcant loss of life and diversity.

it also produces about 40% of the oxygen in the atmosphere

if it happened all at once, that much burning matter could further choke life because of less oxygen (which is needed for things to burn) and the amount of smoke could block sunlight from large areas of the globe
