What temperature does a possum need to live?

Opossums are adaptable animals that can survive in a range of temperatures, but they thrive best in environments that are between 70°F and 80°F (21°C to 27°C). They can tolerate colder temperatures down to about 20°F (-6°C), but prolonged exposure to extreme cold can be harmful. In general, they seek shelter and warmth during harsh weather conditions.
