Heir of Caesar

Caesar adopted his great nephew Octavian and made him his principal heir. After winning in the civil wars against first Caesar's murderers and the his fellow Triumvir Marc Antony, Octavian assumed the position of First Citizen with special powers and took the title Augustus.
