How do planes fly if the earth is spinning?

Planes fly by generating lift through their wings, which allows them to stay aloft regardless of the Earth's rotation. While the Earth spins beneath them, both the plane and the atmosphere are moving together with the Earth's rotation. This means that relative to the air around them, planes can take off and land normally, as they are not affected by the Earth's spin in a way that would disrupt their flight.
