Why won't my GE washer fill with water?

If your washer won't fill, check the hot and cold faucets to make sure they're both turned on fully. GE washers require water pressure between 10 and 120 pounds per square inch. Check the fill hoses, which connect to the upper back left of most GE washers, and make sure the line has no kinks. If the problem persists, turn off the water and remove the fill hoses. Check the filter screen inside the hoses, and clean them with a brush or toothpick. Firmly reconnect the hoses and turn the water back on.
