What are the components of expert system?

expert system is a system in which knowledge processing is done by computer program.Component of expert system are =

1.knowledge based subsystem-this programme is used by expert who can cut, edit, change the knowledge base. the source might be texts books, some research, expert in the area, or users own experience.

b.knowledge base= It consists of everything starting from rules facts,etc. it is helpful in understanding & solving the problems.It consists of 2 main parts =1. facts , 2. heuristics.

The interface engine=interface engine is the brain of the expert system.It applies the available information in a systematic way to form sequence of logical conclusion.It uses backward chaining and forward chaining.

Workplace= Workplace is an area where the discription for the current problem is placed.it is also referred as blackboard.

User interface=IT communicates the solution of the problem in a user friendly manner and language to user /manager with computer with also support of graphics.
