Does it matter if you put your apartment number and then the street number as long as you have the correct address and postal code when you mail a letter i am worried bc i am expecting important mail?

The Postal Code is primarily used in the distribution of mail in Canada. So, I don't much think it matters what address/name is on the envelope, or the penmanship the same contains. Tracking/sorting/distribution is done using the Postal Code.
