If you are asking which CREATURES have the highest intelligence, the answer is human beings, primates such as chimpanzees, gorillas and other apes, aquatic mammals such as dolphins and whales, and also dogs and pigs. However, other animals, such as horses, cats and elephants, have also shown remarkable degrees of high intelligence. If you are asking what are the top levels of intelligence WITHIN the human family, then that's a very difficult one to answer. People with outstanding levels of intellect are known as geniuses, which can be shown in the work that they do across all areas of achievement ranging from science to philosophy through to the arts, humanities and theology- and even in such areas as the military field. However, nowadays it is becoming recognised that it's very difficult to place a general quotient upon intelligence, as some people who are reknowned as famous geniuses, such as Archimedes, Erasmus, Plato, Beethoven and Mozart, Albert Einstein and many more, may be brilliant within certain fields of research but not be terribly good at understanding others. Just one example is Professor Stephen Hawking, the brilliant astrophysicist, who acknowledges his genius in his own field, but also has to admit that he's not a very good biologist, and still less capable as a philosopher or within the fields of the humanities and politics. It is also the case that having a brilliant mind alone does not necessarily make a genius, as this has to be coupled to one's emotional quotient of empathy, humanity and ability to communicate, as well as to one's innate spiritual qualities. Even scientists and philosophers who purport to be atheists do, nonetheless, have an emotional and spiritual side that they may not acknowledge and may do their best to conceal, but it still has to be there at a deeply unconscious level. It's a part of the 'mind-body-spirit' connection which is indivisible, however much the person may try and make it so. The IQ Test, which was developed by the by now somewhat discredited psychologist Hans Eysenck, can in fact tell you very little about a person's innate intellect, as it only measures one's ability to carry out certain tasks within a very narrow area, within a set period of time. So top intelligence is as much dependent upon more than just sheer brain power- it has to go hand in hand with other human qualities.
