Pandora is a moon of Saturn, known for its irregular shape and a diameter of about 81 kilometers (50 miles). It orbits between the rings of Saturn and is characterized by a heavily cratered surface, indicating its ancient geological history. Pandora is also known for its role in shepherding the F ring of Saturn, helping to maintain its structure by gravitational interactions. Discovered in 1980 by the Voyager spacecraft, it is named after the character from Greek mythology who opened a box releasing all the world's evils.
