All I recall is when Persephone was kidnapped by Hades; Demeter (her mother) and Zeus (her father) demanded that Hades return her. However, she ate a pomegranate (or four seeds, the legend varies), and because of this she had to stay in the Underworld for three months out of the year. Demeter, the Goddess of All Living Things, was said to bring about winter and stop all plant growth during Persephone's time with Hades out of grief. Spring was said to be Demeter rejoicing at Persephone's return. Also, Hades claimed Persephone was his wife and his Queen of Tartarus.
Queen of the Underworld and goddess of Spring; she also ruled over the Furies and heroes who went to the Underworld sought her favor.
