WHAT IS IP2X?

IP2X is a rating system that indicates the level of protection provided by an enclosure against the ingress of solid objects, specifically dust. The "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection," followed by two digits where the first digit (ranging from 0 to 6) denotes protection against solids and the second digit (ranging from 0 to 8) indicates protection against liquids. An IP2X rating means that the enclosure offers protection against objects larger than 12.5 mm, but is not completely dust-tight. This level of protection is typically suitable for environments where minimal exposure to dust is expected.
