Because eurpeans asked them to do so Since European countries were too weak to enslave africans themselves, they paid African kings to go with their powerful armies and enslave other africans. It got to the point that all slave trade depended on African kings. If it wasnt for these African kings and their powerful armies, europeans would have never ever been able to exploit Africa. Since these African kings would not allow them to enslave africans without paying a fair price.

See http://www.theroot.com/id/48421?GT1=38002. An ariticle about Wole Soyinka who gives us such a great insight about how blacks are the only responsible for slave trade.

Another great fairytale brought to you by Cambridge Universitys We-don't-have-an-explanation-or-solution Department of History.

AnswerThe African nations (Edomites) were the enemies of the Africans they sold into slavery: Ezekiel 35:1-5. The captured Africans were God's chosen people, the Israelites and God had given them the land of Canaan. By sending the Israelies into captivity the Edomites gained control of the land of Canaan: Ezekiel 33:23-24. Slavery was made possible by the very people who were captured. The Israelites had been given the commands and laws of God to live by but they rebelled against them and were subsequently punished: Deuteronomy 28:15-68.
