Can you buy an item from Walmart and return it to a different Walmart?

Yes, but if you do not have a receipt and that Walmart doesn't carry the item you are trying to return (hence, the item is not in the store's local inventory and cannot pull up a price for the item) then you may not be able to return it. If you have a receipt and its within the return period then you sure can.
