Where was Zeus born and where did he come from?

Zeus was born on Mount Ida in Crete, according to Greek mythology. He is the youngest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. To avoid being swallowed by Cronus, who feared being overthrown by his children, Rhea hid Zeus in a cave on Crete, where he was raised by nymphs and eventually grew strong enough to challenge Cronus.
