Why would aliens see dinosaurs on earth?

Because when we look at stars in our night sky we are viewing them as they were thousand, millions, billions of years ago; hence if aliens were looking at earth, they would be looking at it thousand, millions, billions years ago.

That's how long it took the light from earth to reach what ever other planet.
