Unbaked, uncooked, unfried, ungrilled, unsteamed rice may germinate in compost bins, containers, heaps, piles, or pits and thereby seem to welcome foraging wildlife. Prepared rice may go into composting locations as long as it contains no dairy products, greases, meat, oils, pathogens, or sauces even though some gardeners prefer not to because of the risk of foraging wildlife.
