Why is sindh known as babul Islam?

Sindh is called babul Islam because the first Muslim invaders entered Indian Sub-continent from the coast of Sindh (present day Pakistan). The army was led by Umayyad general Mohammad Bin Qasim. 'Bab' is Arabic Word for Door. 'Babul Islam' means the door through which Islam entered the region.
