How do you replace the drivers side window on a vauxhall vectra s plate?

start be removing the wing mirror adjuster panel. just pull on it. then take off the handle. ther are 4 screws. than take off the door card. to more screws at the bottom. remove the plastic sheet from inside. you can see the mechanism. if the window was smashed then the old rail can just be slid out by hand. clean out any glass from the wether seal round the out side. if the window was smashed ther will be lodes of glass lefed in ther. move the mechanism down to about half way. (like the window was half open) there is a torque screw in a slot. it adjusted the movement of the window. take it all the way out so the mechanism is free to rock round. slide the new window in to the window slit. then the new window on to the front runner. then get the back one on. get a friend to help. its a very fiddle job. once both runners are on and the window is in the seal at both ends then push the back end down in to the seal. the arm with the bolt shod line up with the slot agen. put the bolt back in and titen. move window up and down to check operation. put the door card back on.
