Where was Revolutionary War fought?

All colonies were host to battles or skirmishes throughout the Revolutionary War. Hostilities erupted in the Battle of Lexington and Concord, located in Massachusetts. Notable battles were also fought in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The last major battle of the War took place at Yorktown, VA.
