What hurts worse in your opinion a nose piercing or a Monroe piercing?

Nose piercing. A friend of mine got her nose piercing done last year and got her navel pierced this month and she told me that when she got her nose pierced she cried a lot it hurt so much, but when she got her navel pierced it just stung.

But the navel piercing takes a much longer time to heal, 3 months I think, and the nose piercing takes about 6 weeks healing

definitely navel i had my nose pierced 2 days ago in blue banana and i barely even felt it! my friend had her navel done and she said it hurt and hurt alot more after i still don't feel any pain and i forget its there sometimes! i didnt cry when my nose was pierced my left i watered a bit but that's all i was super shocked at how painless it was, (and im 13.)

ANSWER:It depends on how thick your nose cartilage is, and how thick your belly button cartilage is. What I mean by this is that people who have thicker noses obviously have more pain simply because they have more tissue that needs to heal. I have observed this through the large number of friends I have seen get their noses pierced. I myself didn't think it hurt more than a quick pinch for a second, however my friends with thicker noses would beg to differ.

When it comes to belly buttons I believe it is the same type of principle. Though thickness in this case is toughness. When you pinch with your fingers where you would get your belly button pierced some people have more squishy cartilage here, where others is tighter and more firm. Because of these circumstances my belly button hurt way worse than my nose but neither were terrible.

Just beware of the afterward effect, the belly button for me seemed to be more prone to getting hit ( carrying a laundry basket on your hip for instance is a dangerous mistake should it shift and drop on your belly button ring) whereas your nose's biggest enemy is a washcloth, be extra careful not to get your nose ring caught in the loop of your washcloth it tears it.. I've had my nose pierced for 3 and a half years and I still get it caught sometimes.
