How likely are you to get sick on a cruise ship?

Despite their infamous reputation, cruise ships are relatively safe places. If there is tainted food, or a passenger has an infectious disease, the close nature of the ship can help to spread infection, however regular hygienic and food prep precautions are still helpful. Most cruise ships are so large, you can barely tell they are moving. I've been out on the Atlantic and at certain times of year and under certain conditions, it can get a little rough, but cruises in places like the Caribbean and barrier reef tend to be very calm. You may not even be aware that the ship has pulled away from the dock, depending on where you are at the time. I have been to Caribbean islands and parts of Central America with blountadventures. Th weather was really pleasing.
