How do you get the character token in the owl post in Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4?

Each owl post has a required task in the area close to the owl's perch. Once you have completed the task, the red brick will appear for you to bring to the owl for delivery. The Red Brick Detector can be purchased to point towards the tasks you need to complete.
