Who was cybele?

Cybele is an important foreign goddess. She is also known as the great Mother. She rules fertiliity, healing, and nature. Her cult is from Asia minor and was brought to Rome when a prophet warned that the Romans would lose the Carthaginian wars without Cybele's help.
