This depends if you mean before or after Pentecost. If before, then probably not -although they are good examples even then of how unregenerate men can miss so much truth even when it is before their very eyes and told so plainly.

After Pentecost they became fearless witnesses and most died as martyrs for the faith and so in this they were certainly good examples. In addition two of them left us written records of different aspects of the life and teaching and identity of Jesus, which can be read today. If you include Peter as a source for Mark's Gospel (as stated by Papias) then that would make three.
