Not a great way to lose weight. Your body thinks it is starving after 5 hours with no food and so holds on to as many reserves as possible to maintain bodily functions - thus making it less likely to lose weight. Any initial weight lossis likely to be from dehydration. As all the best Drs say the best weight loss programme is to eat little and often - keeping your metabolism up whilst exercising moderately and staying active throughout the day.
