What is the aim and mission of SACEP?

The aim and mission of SACEP are

i) To promote, support the protection, management and enhancement of the environment, both natural and human of the countries of South Asia, individually, collectively and cooperatively.

ii) To make judicious use of the resources of the environment towards removal of poverty, reduce socio economic disparity, improve the quality of life and prosperity on a continuing basis.

iii) Make the full use of the organization arrangements and facilities for cooperation under SACEP.

Mission of SACEP is to promote regional cooperation in south Asia in the field of environment, in the context of sustainable development and in issues of economic social development which also have tremendous impact on the environment and vice versa, to support conservation and management of resources of the region governmental and nongovernmental, as well as experts and groups engaged in such cooperation and conservation efforts.
