Why are Hawaiian Hoary Bats endangered?

The US Fish and Wildlife Service and the State of Hawaii have classified it as an endangered species since the mid nineteen seventies.

and this is because they could bite you and that would leave a type of venom in your skin because they stay around lava and eat different bugs which have diseases and that is why they are classified as in dangered
