What does a constitutional door left open mean?

It sounds as if someone found or is looking for a loophole in a constitution, allowing some action or legislation that probably goes against the spirit of the written law. Sometimes the Wording of a law or section of a constitution is so complex or unintentionally vague that a very strong argument can be made for some specific action that just makes it by the letter of the written law. It is inevitable that this kind of thing will happen from time to time. Many of these 'doors' or loopholes can be fixed, but sometimes fixes are costly and time consuming.
