What could be the reason for white spot on clothes leather?

There are several possibilities that could be causing your leather jacket, skirt, boots or belts to "break out" in white spots.

The first and foremost thing that causes your leather clothing to "break out" is excessive moisture in the air. Your leather apparel may be molding from too much water vapor in the air.

The second thing that can cause this problem is you may have worn the apparel the last time it rained. When your clothing absorbed the rain, it allowed the mildew and mold to start eating into your leather clothing.

Another thing that can cause white spots to appear on clothing is improper cleaning with non-approved cleaning supplies. It is still a mold growing on the clothing, just a different type than the ones growing on the water content added to the apparel.
