What is the climate like were lions live?

Lions are found in two main areas - African Savannah and the Jungles of central India. Both these areas are hot, contain grasslands and do not contain very dense vegetation. They contain prey like deer, buffalo etc that can be found easily. Also, they stay nearby sources of water.
