What are opinions on TransWorld Accrediting Commission?

Transworld Accrediting Commission International is not a legitimate accrediting agency. In order to be legitimate, an accrediting agency must be recognized by the US Department of Education. TWAC has a very storied history and simply is attempting to make diploma mills "appear" legitimate. Any educational institution claiming to be "fully" accredited by an agency such as TWAC is unethical, and could be in violation of federal law in some principalities. Most so-called educational organizations will use an agency such as TWAC simply because they are not willing or able to go through the multiple year process of becoming truly accredited. They will make statements such as "beware of agencies affiliated with the government", or something of that nature. That is simply a smokescreen to confuse and obfuscate reality.

If you want to attend an educational institution and be able to have your credits transferable to any other legitimate educational institution, the school where the credits have been obtained MUST be accredited by an agency recognized by the Department of Education.
