How do you count BC time?

we count bc time by doing this for example we have a digit sating 2189 we cross out the last 2 digits and then add 1 to the 2 digits that are left OS the answer fro this equation would be ofcourse 22nd century see how easy this it. i learnt it from my teacher mrs perry at alfaisal college
