Where do you find the vin on a Yamaha jog scooter?

Sitting on the scooter, directly ahead on the footboard between your feet, there is a small rectangular plastic "pop out" panel (one inch by 4 inches) that can be gently pried out with a screwdriver. The VIN is behind the panel on the frame tube of the scooter.
