How do you find out what number is halfway between two numbers?

This is the same as finding the "mean" of the number.

So we add the two numbers together then divide that by 2.

If we want the number halfway between 5 and 7, we add them together, 5+7=12 then divide by 2, 12/2=6. So 6 is between 5 and 7.
