How are the young bats raised?

Young bats, known as pups, are typically born in the spring or early summer after a gestation period that varies by species. Mothers care for their pups by nursing them and keeping them warm in roosting sites, often in large colonies for added protection. As pups grow, they gradually learn to fly and hunt, usually within a few weeks, and rely on their mothers for guidance and nourishment during this critical development period.
